Miju Lee studied Industrial Design at Hongik University before relocating to Barcelona to pursue Painting and Illustration. Her practice centers on visual storytelling that resembles an unintentional diary, capturing everyday scenes and objects with a quiet sense of observation. Through the sensitive juxtaposition of mundane and contradictory elements, her works invite viewers into poetic and open-ended narratives.
Her signature Yeti sculptures—playful, lumpy figures often crouched in stillness—embody an intensely introspective presence. Though expressionless, these figures convey a quiet resilience, standing as metaphors for strength found in silence.
Lee has recently held solo exhibitions including Hidden Thread (Seojung ART, Seoul, Korea, 2025) and Perfect Days (LABIBI Gallery, Mallorca, Spain, 2024). Selected group exhibitions include Monomythology (The Hole NYC, NY, USA, 2024), BEYOND PORTRAITURE (Allouche Gallery, LA, USA, 2024) and Interaction (Gallery Zberro, Paris, France, 2023).
Her works are part of several public and private collections, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art - Art Bank (Korea), SOLO Contemporary (Madrid, Spain), and the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu (Spain).
